HYDERABAD: Police announced restrictions on traffic movement in the city in connection with the ‘Mahankali Puja’ at Secunderabad from 4 a.m. on Sunday to 10 p.m. on Monday.
The road leading to Mahankali temple from Tobacco Bazar Hill Street and General Bazar Secunderabad will be closed for all vehicular traffic. Similarly, Subash Road starting from Kingsway crossroads up to Ramgopalpet police station, the Mahankali temple-Lalgudi crossroads (Hill Street) stretch and Mahankali temple-General Bazar Secunderabad stretch will be closed for all vehicular traffic. RTC buses coming from Tank Bund towards Secunderabad via R.P. Road will be diverted towards Ranigunj, Minister’s Road, Parade Ground, Sangeet crossroads and Secunderabad railway station. They will return via Ghasmandi road. RTC buses coming from Tank Bund towards Secunderabad via M.G. Road, Paradise junction, St. Ann’s School, Sangeet theatre, Keyes High School will be stopped in the lane near Keyes High School. They would return via St. Mary’s Junior College and St. Ann’s College. The Secunderabad railway station-St. Mary’s stretch will be closed for all vehicular traffic. Buses proceeding towards Secunderabad railway station from Hakeempet, Bowenpally, Balanagar and Ameerpet will be terminated at YMCA. They will return to their destinations via Patny and MCH swimming pool.
