HYDERABAD: Federation of Associations of Colonies and Apartments (FACA) on Monday reiterated its demand that the water board should reverse its decision to hike water tariff for multi-flat apartment complexes.

Members of FACA, in a release on Monday, decried comments allegedly made by water board officials that non-payment of water bills by apartment dwellers was leading to huge losses to the board. One must remember that all the dwellers of multi-flat apartment complexes, while regularly paying water bills as per the supply, had been raising objection over the ‘new tariff’ levied from January, the release claimed.

The fact was that apartment complexes are not getting more water than individual houses, but were ending up paying exorbitant bills because of the new tariff, the FACA members said.
