HYDERABAD: The Federation of Associations of Colonies and Apartments (FACA) has decided to launch an agitation if the Hyderabad Metro Water Supply and Sewerage Board does not withdraw the hike in water charges from multi-flat apartments and complexes.

Though the quantity of water supply to an individual house or a multi-flat apartment in the same area is one and same, water charges have been increased for apartments. This has led to increase in maintenance charges by welfare associations which is being opposed by apartment-dwellers.

The FACA has appealed to the welfare associations of multi-flat apartments and apartment-dwellers to condemn the delay of the water board in reversing its unilateral decision.
