HYDERABAD: Senior political leaders representing at least five regional parties will meet here on June 6 to try and arrive at a consensus on the crucial question of supporting a Presidential candidate, with the Telugu Desam Party playing host.Another issue on the top of their agenda will be the forging of a Third Front to serve as an alternative to the United Progressive Alliance and the National Democratic Alliance at the national level.

TDP sources said that among those whose participation in the June 6 meeting was confirmed were J. Jayalalithaa of AIADMK, Mulayam Singh, president of Samajwadi Party and Om Prakash Chautala, president of Indian National Lok Dal. The name of the Asom Gana Parishad's representative is yet to be specified.

A senior TDP leader said as of now, the issue of supporting a Presidential candidate was in a fluid state.
