18-foot idol of Dasanjaneya to be the centre of attraction

VISAKHAPATNAM: Sri Hanumajjayanthi will be celebrated at Visakha Sri Sarada Peetham in Chinamushidivada on a grand scale on May 12.

According to the manager of the peetham P.B.S. Ramamuthy, special pujas and abhishekams, continuous recital of Hanuman Chalisa, Sundarakanda Homam and other rituals would be organised on the occasion. The 18-foot idol of Dasanjaneya facing south in the temple complex would be the centre of attraction with Thomalaseva, Panchamritabhishekam, Vadamala and other offerings to the deity, he said.

A highlight of this year's programme is the response from the Postal Department that has introduced the scheme of booking archana and sending prasadam by post to the devotees.

Further particulars can be had from the nearest post office, he said.
