Hyderabad: There is a quantum jump in the number of candidates appearing for ICET examination. The number has touched an all time high of 1.70 lakh for about 38,000 seats in MBA and MCA this year, according to D.N. Reddy, convenor, ICET 2007.

He was addressing a workshop on `How to prepare for ICET' organised by the Iqra Society for Career Guidance here on Sunday.

It was wrong to think that only students of top English medium schools in urban areas bagged ICET ranks. Students from rural areas could also become toppers if they are focused, meticulous and disciplined in their preparations, Prof. Reddy said.

S.M. Khan, English language trainer, advised the students to solve as many model test papers as possible to improve their speed and accuracy. Mohd Abbas Ali of Osmania University, welcomed the gathering.
