Compilation of interesting anecdotes relating to the game released

HYDERABAD: Nearly 24 years after `bits and pieces' players helped India to its only World Cup, another round of `bits and pieces' is making the round in the city.

And that too, just a few days before Dravid and his boys try to repeat what Kapil and his men did.

The bits and pieces this time is from Deputy Commercial Tax Officer C. Venkatesh, who is perhaps more popular as a cricket commentator, sports writer and analyst, in the form of his fourth book `Bits & Pieces: The Lighter Side of Cricket'.

Released by Speaker K.R. Suresh Reddy, the book is compilation of several anecdotes, mostly from cricket around the world, with a few chapters on various sports issues.

Mr. Mansingh had a few anecdotes to share. The victorious manager confirmed the stories that he had instructed those in the Indian dressing room not to move while Kapil Dev was hammering Zimbabwe's bowlers all around Turnbridge Wells in 1983.
