HYDERABAD: The duration of N. Chandrababu Naidu's term in office turned out to be the bone of contention between the TDP and Congress once again on Tuesday in the Assembly. Trouble erupted when Mr Naidu objected to frequent mention of the duration of his Chief Ministership by Y. S. Rajasekhara Reddy in a "sardonic tone" specifying it in number of years, months and days. Dr. Reddy clarified that Mr. Naidu had always mentioned the duration as nine and half years, "which is nothing short of Goebbel's propaganda."

This amounted to misleading the State as he served as Chief Minister only for eight years, eight months and 13 days, said Dr. Reddy. Dr Reddy denied he had any intention to deride at anybody.
