TIRUPATI: Some 200 students drawn from 20 Sanskrit institutions in the country will participate in the four-day All-India Sanskrit Students' Talent Festival, which will begin on February 28 under the aegis of Rashtriya Sanskrit Vidya Peetha, Tirupati.

According to Harekrishna Satapathy, Vice-Chancellor of RSVP, the meet being sponsored by the Union Ministry of Human Resources Development, is aimed at bringing all Sanskrit students in the country to a common platform and tap their hidden talents by subjecting them to various competitions.

The competitions on the cultural stream will include Sanskrit song competition, mono-acting, one-act play and folk dance, the Vice-Chancellor said on Wednesday adding that experts in the subjects from different parts of the country would act as judges for the competitions.

The first prize in individual events would carry a gold medal, cash prize of Rs.1000, certificates and valuable books while the second and the third prizes would be silver and bronze mdeals with a cash prize of Rs.750 and 500 each respectively besides the books.
