HYDERABAD: Victims of an alleged attack by Congressmen from Amlet village in Maheswaram mandal of Ranga Reddy district sought justice from leaders of all parties in the Assembly on Wednesday.

They said that they were attacked with lethal weapons on February 8 for not voting in favour of Congress in the last local body elections. The assailants threw chilli powder in faces and injured six of them. They did not even spare an infant. Leader of the Opposition N. Meanwhile, the Telugu Desam on Wednesday released a list of 256 farmers who died either due to snakebite or electrocution while engaging themselves in agricultural work during nights in the last two-and-a-half years of Congress rule.

Addressing a news conference, TDP leaders N. Janardhan Reddy, Vem Narender Reddy, Devineni Umamaheswara Rao, N. Amarnath Reddy and D. Narendra Kumar demanded an ex-gratia of Rs. 2 lakhs to the victims. The list would be sent to the State Government.
