Some 50 houses razed on Friday

  • Loans to be given through Government agencies
  • Patfor officials for prompt action

    Srikakulam: Minister for Revenue Dharamana Prasada Rao on Monday promised sanction of houses under Indira Awas Yojna to all who had lost their houses in the recent fire. Nearly 50 houses were razed to the ground on Friday resulting in a loss of Rs.25 lakhs. The Minister who called on the fire victims on Monday promised to sanction loans through Government agencies like SC Corporation, BC Corporation and DRDA.

    The Minister appreciated the promptness with which officials concerned responded and said this should be an example for all other departments.

    ZP chairman Palavalasa Rajasekharam and local MLA Dharmana Krishn Das also promised to get more help to the fire victims. Revenue Divisional Officer PMJ Babu gave details of assistance extended to the victims. Efforts were also on to get compensation for the family of the woman killed in the fire.
