One of the suspects in the murder of Alluri Rajaram, husband of Manala MPTC member, nabbed
NIZAMABAD: The Kammarpally police on Sunday solved the sensational murder of Alluri Rajaram, 32, husband of Manala MPTC member, Bujjavva, by arresting one of the suspects, Peesari Chinna Bhumaiah. Rajaram was found killed on agriculture fields of Manala on November 28 last. Giving details of the case at a press conference here on Sunday, Superintendent of Police Mahesh Chandra Laddha said during the last local body elections, Bujjavva won as MPTC member from the village by defeating Bhumaiah's sister-in-law.
Since then, the Bhumaiah's family, being staunch supporters of former Sirikonda ZPTC member Beldar Govardhan alias Gopi (Congress), nurtured enmity against Rajaram and his wife. The deceased and his wife were close followers of Manala Mohan Reddy, who in turn has political rivalry with Gopi. Both Gopi and Mohan Reddy are close followers of the Banswada MLA Bajireddy Govardhan.
However, with the latter becoming closer to the MLA, Gopi and his followers Peesari China Bhumaiah, his elder brother Tukkaram and Gadari Sanjiv Reddy hatched a plan to eliminate Rajaram and Mohan Reddy.
Mr. Laddha said the other accused in the case Anagandula Rajam, Ponnam Raju, Vedurugatla Shankar, Kantham Yadagiri and Poornachander Rao were also arrested.
Mr. Laddha said Beldar Govardhan alias Gopi and Peesari Thukkaiah were absconding.
