ANANTAPUR: The District and Sessions Court struck down the Tagarakunta (Boya) Prabhakar murder case here on Monday as the prosecution has failed to prove the charges of criminal conspiracy, murder, abetment and others framed against the accused.

The court has acquitted nine accused including Julakanti Srinivasa Reddy (Moddu Seenu), who was charged with killing Prabhakar by firing with a revolver, since he is dead and the process of trial was kept pending against another accused by splitting the case as he was not traceable by the police.

Pronouncing the judgement, District Judge K. Gaddenna said, the charges against the accused had no evidence and the witnesses produced did not support the version of the prosecution. Prabhakar, the then MPP of Kanaganapalli and close associate of Paritala Ravindra was killed on September 5, 2004.
