VIJAYAWADA: The Pidilite Industries Limited conducted on Wednesday a city-level contest as part of its International Art and Craft Contest, in follow up to school-level competitions conducted a couple of months ago.

The winners from each school were selected for the city-level contest.

Artist T.V. Rao (Teevee) and Ranganayakamma, art teacher at Maddi Subba Rao English Medium School in One Town, acted as judges for the competitions.


They selected 12 winners, including two each from three categories – students of classes 2 to 4 in A group, students of classes 5 to 7 in B group and students of classes 8 to 10 in C group – in both craft and art competitions for zonal-level competitions.

Pidilite cluster marketing development in-charge A. K. Viswanath said the zonal-level competitions would be held at Bangalore by the end of this month.

The final award ceremony would be organised in Mumbai, where International school of the year-Art, International School of the year- Craft, International Craft Champion of the year and International Art Champion of the year would be announced.

The winners include R. Manikantha (KCP School), Anil Kumar (Gowtham), N. Mohammed (Brilliant), Veda Narayan and Sumanth (Maddi Subba Rao English Medium School).
