HYDERABAD: Decks have been cleared for the re-entry of former Minister C. Krishna Yadav into Telugu Desam Party. He was expelled from the party a few years ago following his arrest in connection with the stamp papers scam.
A special court later released him.
Mr. Yadav was taken to party president N. Chandrababu Naidu by the Polit Bureau member N. Harikrishna and film star N. Balakrishna on Tuesday evening. Both brothers were believed to have requested Mr. Naidu to take back Mr. Yadav and the former told them that he would take a decision soon. But party sources said it was matter of time before he was taken back.
Strangely, TDP workers from Amberpet constituency from where Mr. Yadav could contest in the next Assembly elections, met Mr. Harikrishna in the morning to urge him against allowing Mr. Yadav into the party.
Apparently, Mr. Harikrishna brushed aside the objections and took him to Mr. Chandrababu Naidu.
