NTR PRANGANAM (GUNTUR): For those milling crowds thronging the venue of Yuva Garjana on Wednesday evening, a visual delight is in store.

Those connected with film industry, event managers and sound engineers from Hyderabad and Mumbai are working overtime in artistic stage design and to provide a sound and light spectacle.

Adding filmi touch will be a bunch of stars to make the crowd go ga-ga. “We want to raise the bar and set a new benchmark in conducting public meetings.

A lot of preparation has gone into the stage, the sound and light effects” said Magunta Gopinath Chowdary, popular film set designer.

Personnel of Hyderabad-based R.K., overseeing the sound and light arrangements, said they wanted everything to be perfect.

The stage is built on a massive 60 by 40 feet wooden structure at a height of 10 feet, to seat 150 people. It has been designed to showcase the heroism of Palnadu culture, the indomitable spirit of the farmer and the enthusiasm of youth.

The two torches at the corners of the stage will be lit by party president N. Chandrababu Naidu and matinee idol Balakrishna, using a remote control accompanied by the deafening noise of crackers and release of balloons.

A rotating cycle and two tall ‘prabhas’ (electrified poles) on either side of the stage would attract attention. Massive cut-outs of the party chief and Mr. Balakrishna have already been erected all across the venue.

Five large LCD screens have been arranged at the venue spread across 140 acres to enable crowds to see and hear the speakers. Sound engineer from Mumbai Robin says the speakers would dish out a whopping one lakh watts of output.

Special lighting effects and revolving lights had been brought from Bangalore.
