Heavy presence of riot-police personnel with special gear created some tense moments and as soon as Mr. Narayana arrived, he demanded the ordering of survey for house sites .

Mr. Narayana and other leaders were arrested after their delegation met the Collector, and were taken to Nagarmapalem police station.

Describing the police act as fascist, he said that the picketing persons did not want to resort to violence.
