VIJAYAWADA: Even though recession has slowed down the real estate activity across the country, the Agri Gold group has continued to take up housing ventures at several places in the State, including Rajahmundry (200 houses), Miryalaguda (150), Ongole (100) and Anantapur (500), according to the group chairman V.R. Rao Avvas.

38 ventures grounded

On the eve of the group’s 14th foundation day, Mr. Avvas said in a statement on Sunday that the group had grounded 38 ventures in Andhra Pradesh, Karnataka and Tamil Nadu during the last two years. The group had also been taking up activities in the fields of infrastructure, roads, water supply and multi-storey complex construction, he said.

Mr. Avvas said that the aim of the group was to make available residential flats and plots to the middle classes at an affordable price even while adhering to all norms and rules of the government.

Every venture done by the group had common facilities like parks, wide roads, underground drainage, power supply, elevated water storage reservoir and the like.
