City-based firm develops an online game based on the experiment of the Large Hadron Collider

HYDERABAD: The Big Bang experiment may have created lot of enthusiasm among the people and concern among environmentalists about the possible annihilation of humanity due to the formation of ‘black holes’.

But, the CERN (European Centre for Nuclear Research) experiment of the Large Hadron Collider (LHC), a multi-billion dollar project for exploring the beginnings of the Universe, has come handy for the online gaming community to educate people about the experiment in progress. A city-based gaming firm, 7Seas Technologies, has developed an online video game on the process.

Connecting pipelines

The game involves construction of pipelines to ensure free movement of the ‘atom’ in the LHC. What the gamer need to do is to simply connect the pipelines, form a tunnel that enables the atom to travel and collide with the other one at the end of the tunnel. A level is successfully completed only if the pipelines are connected properly and the atom collides with its counterpart at the other end within the stipulated time.

Divided into 35 levels, every time the gamer makes a wrong connection, he is supposed to lose a life. It would take one-and-a-half hour to complete the game at a stretch without losing the levels. This is a new game set to attract players of all age groups, says 7Seas managing director L. Maruthi Shankar.

More games

The company has recently added more games like Appu in Dreamland, Frenzy Drive, Funny Bunny and Indian traditional game Dadi (Merelles), taking the firm’s total IP-owned free online games to 255.
