‘Workshops will be held to accustom the students to the new and cutting-edge technologies’.

VIJAYAWADA: Organisers of ‘Kshitij 2009’, an annual techno-management fest of IIT Kharagpur, are inviting the students of technical and management institutions in this region to participate in the event by sending their first round submissions before December 16. The event will be held from January 29 to February 1, next year.

A student representative of the fest said that a variety of workshops would be conducted to expose and accustom the student community to the new and cutting edge technologies and managerial methodologies being used worldwide. Exhibitions of creative and state-of-the-art innovations, which would make the students realise the potential of present and future technologies, would also be organised.

Some of the events to be organised are: Car design, Refrigeration,

The Senate, Zero Hour, El Dorado, B-Plan, OpenSoft, Woodstock and Robotix. There is a lot of prize money to be won.
