HYDERABAD: The government has dropped its plan to create a wildlife elephant sanctuary over an area of 120 sq.km replacing about 10 villages in Srikakulam, Vizianagaram districts. Disclosing this, Forest Minister S. Vijayarama Raju said the decision to scrap the plan was taken following stiff resistance offered by tribal families in the 10 villages identified for shifting.
