HYDERABAD: A GHMC Executive Engineer (maintenance) Manan was reportedly trapped by the Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) at his office here on Tuesday for allegedly accepting a bribe of Rs.15,000 from a contractor for giving work order.

In a separate case, a village revenue officer of Srikakulam district, N. Malleswara Rao, was arrested by the ACB on Tuesday for allegedly taking a bribe of Rs.5,000 from a complainant for issuing pattadar passbook and title deed. In yet another case, the government has dismissed junior assistant of Endowments Department, Kadapa Ramthu, following his conviction in a graft case. He was trapped in 2003 when he demanded a bribe of Rs. 2,000for doing an official favour, according to a press release.
