Ramky to create infrastructure facilities
WARANGAL: The Kakatiya Urban Development Authority (KUDA) will auction over 300 plots in its O City from September 26. The land, which once belonged to Ajam Jahi Mills, has been procured from the government.
KUDA Vice-Chairman U. Venkataramaiah said that in the first phase of auction held in May last year, they had sold 74 plots and earned revenue of Rs. 10 crore.
In the second phase, the KUDA proposes to sell 200 plots of 200 square yards each, 103 plots of 300 square yards each and 19 plots of 1,200 square yards each during the four-day auctioning. “Once completed, it will become an ultra modern township, the first of its kind in Warangal district.
The infrastructure such as underground drainage, cables, street lighting, roads and central dividers are being constructed by Ramky which is given the contract.”
Mr. Venkataramaiah said in the 35-acre land that was procured by the Ramky from the A.P. Housing Board, they would be building Ramky Enclave opposite the O City.
The site is at a short distance from the Warangal railway station and the KUDA is likely to earn more revenue with an upset price of Rs. 3,500 to Rs. 4,500 per square yard.
30 acres set aside
Mr. Venkataramaiah said they had set aside 30 acres for future use such as to construction high rise structures or to sell it for gated community projects.
According to him, once the projects by Ramky and KUDA were completed, the whole environs around the Warangal railway station would change for better with improved facilities and modern residential areas.
“More development will come around. The Narasampet road will witness more growth once these projects are completed,” he explained.
Recently, a corporate hospital came up on the road and a star hotel is being built on the Narasampet road near the former AJ Mills ground.
