HYDERABAD: A two-day all-India open technical programme on ‘Failure analysis and condition assessment of power and process plant rotating equipments’ organised by city-based Tech Pro Centre for Technical Education has blamed officials for frequent tripping of power plants, as witnessed in the State recently. Speakers felt that turbines, compressors, generators and motors, which are critical equipment of thermal and process plants, need regular assessment of their condition. This would prevent tripping of plants, was the consensus at the concluding session on Saturday.

M.S.S. Kumar, general manager, BHEL-GE Joint Venture and S. Chandra Mouli of NTPC spoke.
