ADILABAD: Two new weekly trains, connecting Nanded in Maharashtra and Sriganganagar in Rajasthan and Kolhapur and Nagpur in Maharashtra will run via Adilabad town in near future, according to the new time table. The introduction of these trains depends on how fast the ballast collection work between Pimpalkuti and Majri stations on the Adilabad-Nagpur route gets completed. The old iron sleepers have been replaced with cement concrete ones to strengthen the track.
The 2485 Nanded-Sriganganagar superfast will connect Adilabad directly with the country’s capital for the first time. The time table shows that this train will depart from Nanded on Sundays at 11.30 p.m. and arrive at Adilabad at 2 a.m. It will proceed to the Rajasthan-Punjab border town via Majri, Nagpur, Itarsi, Bhopal, Gwalior, Agra Cantt, New Delhi, Rohtak and Bhatinda. In the reverse direction train 2486 will depart Sriganganagar on Fridays and reach Adilabad at 00.15 a.m. on Sunday and Nanded at 3.30 a.m.
The 1045 Kolhapur-Nagpur ordinary express will depart Kolhapur on Fridays at 1.30 a.m. and reach Adilabad at 2 a.m. the next day and Nagpur at 8.35 a.m. The 1046 Nagpur-Kolhapur will leave Nagpur at 4.10 p.m. on Tuesdays and reach Adilabad at 11 p.m. and Kolhapur at 4.15 a.m. the next day.
