Leaders from other parties likely to join hands with Devender Goud

Efforts on to mobilise more than 10,000 people for the public meeting

Goud sympathisers and NTPP activists to hold preparatory meeting on July 18

WARANGAL: Former Minister T. Devender Goud, who floated the Nava Telangana Praja Party, plans to address a series of meetings in the district on July 22.

The activists, who joined the party at Hyderabad, are making arrangements for an impressive public meeting in the town mobilising more than 10,000 people.

Backward Classes’ leaders of employees associations, community leaders and academics are involved in organising the meeting. BC leader P. Sarangapani Goud is overseeing the arrangements for Mr. Devender Goud’s visit.

Mr. Sarangapani said leaders from various other political parties would be formally joining the NTPP at the proposed meeting in the presence of Mr. Devender Goud.

The sympathisers and activists of NTPP would be holding preparatory meeting at a hotel in the town on July 18.

Wait and watch policy

The second rung TDP leaders, who evinced interest in joining hands with Mr. Devender Goud, were adopting wait and watch approach as not many senior leaders of the party walked out with him as expected.

They were rumours initially that Mr. Kadiam Srihari and several others from the district would go with Mr. Goud. Meanwhile, some TRS leaders vexed with the functioning and style of party president K. Chandrasekhar Rao, appear to be keen on joining Mr. Devender Goud’s party. However, with the chances of cine hero Chiranjeevi floating a political party, both TDP and TRS leaders seem to be buying time to assess what would be good for them.
