‘Sapphire’ is single platform covering all segments in firm

Kirby spends 50 cr. to bring operations under SAP

Sangreddy: The Kirby Building Systems India Ltd., a group company of Alghanim Industries has launched ‘Sapphire’ interlinking its operations through the system application and products (SAP) at Pashamylaram on Friday. Chairman of Kirby Praveen K. Tandon, at the launch said that establishment of a single platform interconnecting manufacturing, sales, finance, materials, information technology, human resources and logistics would improve all- round performance. The company has spent Rs. 50 crore on bringing its operations under SAP.

SAP(India) carried out the technical implementation assisted by executives drawn from different units of Kirby.

Earlier, addressing a press conference, Mr. Tandon said that currently the firm is working on a feasibility study to set up its third unit in western India in addition to the existing units in Pashamylaram and Haridwar. He said that he could make a comment on the quantum of investment on the third unit only after studying the report.

Similarly, the firm would like to introduce structural steel and storage solution products to its production list as a ‘one-stop-shopping experience’ . Chief Executive Officer S. V. Rao said that the unit here is offering the best pay package to its workers.

The recent hike is almost 200 per cent. Each worker got a minimum rise of Rs. 5,450 in addition to a bonus of 35 per cent.
