HYDERABAD: GHMC Commissioner C.V.S.K. Sarma has asked Town Planning staff to be vigilant against illegal constructions in Kapra municipal circle and warned them that any laxity on their part will be viewed seriously.
When local officials informed him on Thursday that 121 open spaces had been identified and compound walls constructed, Dr. Sarma said that if suitable land was chosen, an integrated sports complex would be constructed for the benefit of the locals. He also distributed bank passbooks to women of self-help groups, wheel chairs and tricycles to the physically-challenged.
The Commissioner and his team also visited areas of Cherlapally, Bhavaninagar Colony, Saketnagar, Gokulnagar, Eshwaripuri Colony, A.S. Rao Nagar, etc. and interacted with people. Another inspection was at the Balakpur nala and Shatam tank with the Karwan MLA in tow. Residents complained about non-availability of potable drinking water and sewerage problems.
