VISAKHAPATNAM: There will be traffic regulation on Beach Road from 4 p.m. to 11 p.m. on Saturday in view of the TV Nandi Awards function to be held on the Beach.
Deputy Commissioner of Police (Traffic and Security) P. Viswa Prasad appealed to the public to cooperate with the police in the proper implementation of the traffic regulations to prevent inconvenience to visitors and the general public. Only vehicles with valid passes issued by the organisers would be allowed on the stretch between NTR statue and Pandurangapuram junction.
Vehicles with green coloured VVIP passes would be allowed up to the venue of the function but have to be parked near the Kali temple and Matsyadarshini after dropping the VVIP s.
Vehicles with pink coloured VIP passes would be allowed to drop the VIP s at the venue and park in the designated place at the Viswapriya Function Hall. Heavy vehicles would not be allowed between the Naval Coast Battery junction and Park Hotel Junction. Visitors coming by two-wheelers and cars have to park their vehicles on the road between NTR statue and Fishing Harbour Junction, between Pandurangapuram and VUDA Park, at YMCA and on the service road between NTR statue and Sea Pearl restaurant.
RTC buses would not be allowed between NTR statue and Park Hotel junction from 4 p.m. to 11 p.m.
Residents of apartments and independent houses on the Beach Road have been asked not to come onto the Beach Road with their vehicles between 4 p.m. and 11 p.m. and instead use alternate roads to reach their homes.
