VIJAYAWADA: Over 700 candidates from seven districts aspiring to make a career in different positions in the Indian Army turned up for the Army recruitment rally at Makineni Basava Punnaiah Stadium in Ajit Singh Nagar on the first day on Thursday.
The first day’s activity was limited to verification of educational certificates and other documents by the Army personnel.
The verification was done for the aspirants of soldier technical and nursing assistant posts.
The qualification for both the posts was a pass of Intermediate with a science group.
“We have selected 158 candidates for the physical fitness test, which will be held on Friday morning.
We will also conduct certificate verification for the aspirants of the post of solider general duty on Friday,” said Dinesh Verma, Recruitment Medical Officer of the Indian Army.
Candidates from Krishna, Guntur, Nellore, Chittoor, Prakasam, Anantapur and Kadapa districts were appearing for the tests.
