VIJAYAWADA: Representatives of the University of Wolverhampton on Friday conveyed to the parents of V. Samrajya Jyothirmayi, the student killed on March 6, the University’s decision to refund the total fee paid by her for joining the Master of Public Health course. They also assured the parents of any kind of help by the University to the family in the future.

A three-member delegation of the University, comprising Ashar Eshan, Jo Gittens, both Directors, Pragyat Singh, South Asia representative, spent about an hour with the family . They were accompanied by former MLA Adusumilli Jayaprakash and former Mayor Jandhyala Sankar. The small house that the family lives in at Lambadipet was packed with friends and relatives, besides mediapersons. Mr. Saibaba said his daughter had paid a fee of Rs. 6 lakh in Indian currency which they were expecting to get back .
