To cover 150 km every day for 11-day bypoll campaign

To start from Chevella, considered lucky by him

HYDERABAD: Chief Minister Y. S. Rajasekhara Reddy will hit the road from May 15 covering over 2,000 km during his 11-day byelection campaign in Telangana region.

Covering over 150 km every day, Dr. Reddy intends to interact with voters at roadside meetings beginning from Chevella mandal headquarters, considered lucky by him. Apart from road shows in a specially-designed vehicle, he will heli-hop to some places in Adilabad district to save time.

His campaign managers are drawing up the route for the campaign trail that will take him to Medak, Nizamabad, Adilabad, Karimnagar, Warangal and Nalgonda districts in the first phase of seven-day campaign.

On the first day of the campaign, he will cover Vikarabad constituency.

He will fly down to Ramayampet to continue his yatra that will take him through Yellareddy constituency in Nizamabad district covering 125 kms.

He will fly to Bhainsa in Adilabad district for a public meeting and spend one and a half day in tribal areas in Indravelli, Utnoor, Kadam, Khanapur mandals before reaching Nirmal town.

Once in Karimnagar district, his campaign managers have finalised a lengthy road show covering Metpally, Buggaram, Jagtial, Huzurabad and Kamalapur constituencies.

His last day of campaigning on May 21 will see him covering Hanamkonda and Warangal Lok Sabha constituencies.

He will conclude the first phase at Alair in Nalgonda.

In the second phase commencing on May 24, the Chief Minister will visit Jadcherla and Warangal parliamentary constituency. He will campaign in the Twin Cities on May 27.
