April 30 last date for 2008-09
HYDERABAD: The Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) has urged all businessmen and traders running trades without any license to obtain the same by April 30 for the year 2008-09.
In a press release, the Corporation has announced that the programme for renewal of trade licences had begun at the 21 eSeva centres from April 1 and from May 1st onwards, traders will be charged an additional fee of 25 per cent of the license fee in additional to the actual license fee.
This additional fee structure will be valid till June 30 and thereafter, a penalty of 50 per cent of the license fee will be collected.
It has further warned that such trades that have not been renewed would be considered as un-licensed trades.
The Commissioner and Special Officer, C.V.S.K. Sarma, has the powers to get the premises closed and the goods as well as articles are liable to be seized.
The businessmen who have to take trade licenses include shopkeepers, service centres, commercial establishments, workshops, hotels, and so on.
