VISAKHAPATNAM: The Akella Trust on Saturday honoured children of advocates who have excelled in academics and fine arts, during the Akella Satyanarayana memorial endowment lecture.

Judge of Supreme Court G.S. Sanghvi handed over mementoes on behalf of the trust to children and their parents. The following received the honours: Bandaru Raghu Ratna Kumar, son of B.V. Ramanjaneya Rao who is now doing MBA at IIM (Ahmedabad); N. Ashwini Kumar, son of N. Madhava Rao who has attended Moot Court competitions in Washington and Egypt; Challa Vennela, daughter of C.S. Rao and Mahalakshmi who secured a doctorate in mechanical engineering from a US university; Srigangam Suhasini, daughter of Srirangam Narasimham, a talented singer who has won national scholarships; M. Dinesh Ram, son of Madhava Rao and grandson of Ramakoti, who secured admission in the Indian Statistical Institute (Kolkota); a promising painter Sahiti Sivani Varma, daughter of Varma Babu and R. Pragati, daughter of Srinivasa Rao who secured a good percentage of marks in SSC exam.
