HYDERABAD: A 10-member delegation of Labour Party MPs from the United Kingdom on Wednesday called on Chief Minister Y. S.Rajasekhara Reddy.

Led by Stephen Pelham Pound, the delegation appreciated the developmental and welfare programmes being initiated by the government.

Dr. Reddy told the visiting delegation that with massive infrastructure development taking place, there would be sea change in the city in the next one year.

The Chief Minister explained them the concept of thrift inculcated by SHG women,Indiramma andArogyasri schemes. The delegation comprised: Stephen John Ladyman, Denis Murphy, Sharon Hadgson, Howard Stoate, Baroness Jean Corston and Vikas Pota, all Members of Parliament.
