KHAMMMAM: The ITDA project officer, Budha Prakash Jyothi on Thursday suspended four teachers including two headmasters on different charges. He said V. Mohan, in charge MEO of the Velerpadu mandal who also happened to be the in-charge headmaster of the ZP High School at the mandal centre was placed under suspension. He had failed to disburse the honorarium of the Vidya volunteers for quite some time.

Right under his nose, the biological science teacher of the school, Ch. Srinivasa Rao did not attend his duty right from June 2007.

He had in turn engaged a private teacher by paying him a monthly salary of Rs. 1,000 per month. The dummy teacher had been teaching in the schools all these days with the tacit approval of the head master. The project officer had placed the biological science teacher also under suspension. He had also suspended K. Nageswar Rao, headmaster of the government primary school at Tellampadu village in Velerpadu mandal.

The brother of the headmaster- an intermediate student was allegedly managing the school affairs during the unauthorised absence of the headmaster.

The agency DEO had conducted an inquiry and submitted a report to the project officer on this issue.

The craft teacher of the Girijan ashram school, B. Ramdan at Sunnambatti village in Aswaraopet mandal was also placed under suspension. The teacher had allegedly manhandled the school headmaster.
