VISAKHAPATNAM: Leader of the Opposition in the Legislative Council Dadi Veerabhadra Rao has charged the government with failure to arrest those involved in the attack on senior TDP leader Nagam Janardhan Reddy in Hyderabad on Thursday.

He said in a statement here on Friday that the electronic media had identified and recorded the views of some of those involved. Where was the need for a CB-CID inquiry, he asked wondering whether it was to cover-up the failure of the Police Department or due to political pressure.

Mr. Veerabhadra Rao said the attack was not a casual one and alleged the involvement of Congress and TRS. Though the JAC had denied any involvement, Mr. Janardhan Reddy was attacked when he came to visit its leader, JAC should own responsibility, he said.
