Rajahmundry: East Godavari district in-charge Minister J.C. Diwakar Reddy, Ministers -- Pilli Subash Chandra Bose and Gollapalli Surya Rao -- along with District Collector M. Subrahmanyam and Superintendent of Police B. Srinivasulu on Wednesday visited Satellite City.
They reviewed the arrangements being made for UPA Chairperson Sonia Gandhi’s visit on September 1. The Ministers discussed the construction of helipad, pylon and other arrangements. R&B officials and Collector explained the arrangements and the SP briefed about security arrangements.
Jaggampet MLA and DCC president Thota Narsimham, MLA Rowthu Surya Prakasha Rao, ZP Chairperson Ch. Venu and RDO M. Jithendra participated. Mr. Diwakar Reddy said at Tuni that rural roads would be laid with the help of World Bank loan of Rs. 1,000 crores in five districts. Speaking to reporters, he said that Anantapur, Kadapa, Nellore, Krishna and Mahaboobnagar would be covered under the project.
