Sri Raja Rajeshwara Swamy Devasthanam authorities at Vemulawada in Karimnagar district are leaving no stone unturned to make the annual Sri Rama Navami celebrations on April 19 a grand success.
Expecting a heavy turnout of devotees to witness the celestial wedding of Lord Rama with Seeta, the Devasthanam authorities have decided to erect temporary shamianas to protect the devotees from the sweltering heat wave conditions. They have also decided to make elaborate arrangements for drinking water and to install 42 plasma television sets to telecast live the celestial wedding proceedings.
Devasthanam chairman Bomma Venkateshwar conducted a review meeting with the police, revenue, medical and other authorities for the smooth conduct of the programme.
The meeting also informed the RTC authorities to operate more buses from various destinations for the benefit of pilgrims. The police were instructed to make elaborate security arrangements and medical teams would be deployed to provide medical assistance to pilgrims suffering from the sweltering heat wave conditions.
