Guru Gobind Singh birth anniversary celebrations
A religious procession and mass congregation will be organised by the Central Gurudwara Saheb Gowliguda in the city as part of 338th birth anniversary celebrations of Sikh guru, Sri Guru Gobind Singh on January 4 and 6, according to a press release.
To collect and preserve manuscripts related to Urdu language, the Maulana Azad National Urdu University (MANUU) will soon be establishing Urdu museum, university vice-chancellor A.M. Pathan said here on Tuesday. Inaugurating a three-day workshop on Preventive and Curative Conservation of Manuscripts & Documents organised by the university, he said manuscripts on other topics and subjects if available in Urdu language will also be part of the museum.
Lepakshi Craft Bazar
The Andhra Pradesh Handicrafts Development Corporation is organising the Lepakshi Craft Bazar from January 4 to January 15 at Pushpa gardens in Dilsukhnagar. The exhibition will be open from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. every day. Soft wood toys and dolls from Kondapally, Nirmal and Etikoppaka villages, hand paintings in Cherial, Nirmal and Kalahasti and Batik styles, etc. will be on display.
