Helpline for consumers

Commissioner for Civil Supplies Bhanwarlal on Monday announced that a toll-free helpline would be provided from November 1 through which consumers all over the State could get proper advice.

Addressing north Andhra district officials and representatives of consumer associations at the Collectorate here, he called for conducting awareness seminars through district consumer information centresand said the DCICs could supply the publicity material required for the seminars. Joint Collector of Visakhapatnam Sandeep Kumar Sultania also attended the meeting.

Training in `Rajayoga'

The Institute of Sri Ramachandra Consciousness will organise a free two-day training course in `Rajayoga' in the city with meditation practice on October 14 and 15 between 9 a.m. and 6 p.m. The venue will be 16, Sea Sands Quarters, opposite Andhra University in gate, Visakhapatnam. The CSE and IT department of Raghu Engineering College organised a national-level technical fiesta INNOVEX-2k6 recently. VSP general manager S. Ramakrishnan inaugurated it. About 51 papers and 30 posters on various subjects like wireless communication, image processing were presented in the two-day session. Among others, AU college of engineering principal Allam Appa Rao, HPCL DGM P. Ramakrishna and Chairman of Raghu Institutions K. Raghu participated.
