Office-bearers of chemists' body

M. Manik Rao and Md. Aijaz Hussain have been elected president and general secretary respectively of The Hyderabad District Chemists and Druggists Association, according to a press release. Md. Shafimohiuddin has been elected treasurer.

Meet on snakebite management

P.K. Agarwal, Principal Secretary, Health, on Wednesday inaugurated an awareness and training workshop on snakebite management organised by the department in coordination with Bayer Crop Science. Ian D. Simpson, WHO Snakebite Treatment Group, guided the workshop attended by about 100 doctors and representatives of NGOs and corporates.

Minimum wage sought

The Andhra Pradesh Voluntary Health Workers' Union has demanded fixing and payment of a minimum wage for its members. In a representation to Health Minister K. Rosaiah, CITU vice-president P. Roja appealed to the Government to fix wages on the basis of work carried by the workers so far.
