Loot three houses and make their way in a stolen car

VISAKHAPATNAM: In a series of offences, six armed men looted three houses at Rambilli in the district in the wee hours of Tuesday, injured a man and decamped with valuables worth Rs.6 lakhs, including a Maruti Zen. The men armed with knives and iron rods broke into the house of Satyam Raju, 75, father-in-law of Yelamanchili MLA U.V.R.M. Raju (Kannababu), around 1.30 a.m. by forcing open the rear door. After tying up Mr. Satyam Raju, his wife and a woman relative and snapping phone wires, they took away Rs.2 lakhs in cash and gold ornaments weighing 18.5 tolas from the almirah. Later, the gang attacked the house of Rambilli Upa Sarpanch and took away gold ornaments from them.
