The size of apparel at Pluss starts from where it ends at regular stores. A one-stop shop for those looking for large size clothing, it has a vast collection for men and women that begins at XL size and ends with 10 XL. The regular branded stores in the city have stocks of apparel in small (S), medium (M), large (L) and extra large (XL) with some providing extra extra large (XXL). “However, those in need of bigger larger sizes usually end up roaming around different stores checking for an appropriate fit. Since sizes beyond XL are not easy to find, they end up wasting a lot of time,” says Naresh Kumar, Pluss store manager.
For those persons, this exclusive large size apparel store comes as a boon with a collection of more than 4,000 pieces. The largest in men’s trouser here is 10XL i.e., size 64. It is not just trousers or shirts, but the store has jeans, Bermuda shorts, jackets and sweaters for men while women can browse through a collection of T-shirts, formals, casuals, capris and blazers. “Our stock covers all clothing needs in large size and has collection from casual, formal to party wear,” Mr. Kumar says. He says theirs is the only store in the State catering to big size dresses.
At Pluss, he says the colour choice is wide and the apparel comes in the price range of Rs. 600 to Rs. 5,000. Even extra large size trouser belts can be picked up.
Plus sizes are a rarity here unlike in the West. But thanks to an enterprising garment trader, sizes from XL to 10 XL are now available in the city
