Imagine travelling with your dear ones, watching your favourite movie and enjoying delicious food, all at one go. AP Tourism Development Corporation (APTDC) new caravan tourism service now makes this possible in the city.

The service is the first-of-its-kind in southern India, said V. Madhusudan, Officer on Special Duty (Tourism).

Initially, caravan vehicle packages will be operated on day-tours to Hyderabad-Nagarjunasagar (Rs.9,500), Hyderabad-Ananthagiri (Rs.6,000) and Hyderabad-Singur (Rs.6,000). A two-day-one-night package to Hyderabad-Srisailam, Hyderabad-Warangal-Laknavaram and Hyderabad-Basara would cost Rs.12,000 per each route trip. A two-night-three-day package to Hyderabad-Vijayawada-Suryalanka would cost Rs.18,000. All this would translate to around Rs.25 per km. At night, the vehicle would be parked at resorts and hotels. The tourists can also choose to spend the night in the caravan. In addition to the caravan service, APTDC has also launched Innova vehicle packages, for tourists who wish to customise their trips to different destinations.
