T. Harish Rao, TRS MLA, has complained to Chief Minister N. Kiran Kumar Reddy about the misinterpretation of the Presidential Order in the recruitment of degree college lecturers by the Andhra Pradesh Public Service Commission.
Though the APPSC should have followed the zonal cadre regulations as laid down in the six-point formula and the Presidential Order in the recruitment by giving reservation for the local area candidates in the zonal cadre posts, it conducted the recruitment on a State level basis, he said.

Mr. Harish Rao wanted a direction to the APPSC for putting on hold the interview process till the anomaly was addressed and a clarification given in the implementation of Presidential Order in GO 674. Otherwise it would result in injustice to the candidates from Telangana region, he added. “While zonal system is followed in determining seniority, promotions and transfers of lecturers, the same norm was given a go by in recruitment,” he alleged.
He also appealed to the Chief Minister to reinstate the multi-purpose health workers who were on hunger strike for the last 130 days. They were appointed on contract basis had been agitating for regularisation of their services. But the government removed them from the service altogether, he added.
