HYDERABAD: The Commissioner of Intermediate Education and Board of Apprenticeship Training (BAT), Chennai are jointly launching ‘Centralised Apprenticeship Selection Programme’ at Tirupati, Nellore, Vijayawada and Khammam this month to select vocational pass-outs at intermediate level for apprenticeship training, a release informed on Wednesday.

Candidates who have passed Intermediate vocational courses in the last three years (March 2005) would be selected and placed near their home towns for training. An amount of Rs. 1,090 per month would be paid as stipend and after one year, a certificate would be given to them by BAT, Chennai The number of placements available would be displayed at the offices of Superintending Engineer Operation, Southern Power Distribution Company A. P Ltd. at Tirupati on September 12, Nellore on 14th, Vijayawada on 18th, Swarna Bharathi Engineering College Campus, Khammam on September 20, the release informed.
