Twenty seven-year-old M.S.N. Prasad of Andhra Pradesh Badminton Association has been nominated as a match controller for the 25th sub-junior National badminton Championships 2011 to be held at New Delhi from December 1 to 8, according to Badminton Association of Indian secretary (tournaments) and APBA general secretary K.Ch. Punnaiah Chowdary here on Monday.
He said that Mr. Prasad, a former university player, was one among five match controllers in the country trained by Mr. Girish Natu, a reputed international referee and Mr. Rajiv Mehta. “He is the youngest official in our country to successfully complete many assignments as match controller,” Mr. Chowdary added.
Mr. Prasad, a student of ANR College, Gudivada, has served as match controller during Delhi Commonwealth Games, India Open Super Series-2011, BAC championships in New Delhi, world championships in Hyderabad and three India Open International tournaments.
Mr. Prasad, who works as the office secretary at APBA, has conducted 25 national and 30 state tournaments along with 10 international tournaments.
