The Andhra Pragadhi Grameena Bank, Syndicate Bank-sponsored Regional Rural Bank, has launched Pragathi Basic Savings Bank Deposit and Pragathi Basic Savings Bank Deposit (Financial Inclusion). Its chairman K. Preetam Lal, in a release here, urged its customers to make use of the facility to open savings bank accounts with zero minimum balances and without any frills, to access banking services. The service was available to customers from this month across the 431 branches of the bank which operated on CBS platform in Prakasam, Nellore, Anantapur, Kadapa, Kurnool districts, he explained. The bank with net-worth of Rs. 990.19 crore achieved a total business of Rs. 10,711 crore for the half year ending September 2012, he added.
