The AP State Council of Science and Technology’s (APCOST) Regional Science Centre at Bhavanipuram will organise a Satellite Interactive Terminal (SIT) programme where participants will have direct interaction with scientists and speakers (video conferences).

The programme is part of the EduSAT Vigyan Prasar programme sanctioned by the Vigyan Prasar, Department of Science and Technology, New Delhi. The Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) will provide the connectivity for the programme. Initially, three programmes are being planned for different target groups.

On January 8 (Tuesday), a popular science lecture on Helminthology will be conducted from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. for students of classes 8 to 10. On January 10 (Thursday), a disaster management programme on fire management will be conducted from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. for science communicators and on January 11(Friday), a health programme on food and diet will be organised from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. for general public.
